THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SHOWING APPS & GAMES vs. GAMES ON LIKES LIST

MANAGE SECTIONS

Some players believe that if they show the APPS & GAMES section on their LIKES list, that players who play their games will see their games on that list.  They don't.

Showing Apps and Games is a waste of time because
it only shows mutual games and only after friending

Some also believe that this method covers them for showing one Public Like for their games which is required by many groups.  It doesn't.

To get here: on your profile, click your own name, then MORE,
then MANAGE SECTIONS.

Notice that we didn't check any other sections below the two in the red box in the above photo.  This means only the LIKES for those categories will be shown to those who are not our friends yet. When they can see we play the game, they will accept our friend request.

Facebook is a little bit fickle on whose profile they will show mutual games and whose profile they won't show them at all, because Facebook randomly selects which games they will feature under the APPS & GAMES section. And it is almost never for Caesars or Slotomania. It's almost always for some new startup game or one that doesn't have that many players.

Sometimes you can see the last games the person has played when you look on the RECENT tab but that is usually only when they have their game wins and posts on their timeline set as PUBLIC, not FRIENDS.

For the most part, the games showing on the RECENT tab are visible only after friending.

So many times we hear players say:

"My games ARE set to PUBLIC on my LIKES list! Why can't you see them? I can see them plain as day!"

This is because they can see them from their own view, but the games aren't set to PUBLIC for non-friends to see them.

You have to set the LIKES for your Caesars (and other games) to PUBLIC so that when someone clicks your LIKES to see what you have on the list - they will see the games they are looking for.

Any player who hides all of their LIKES from PUBLIC view will have nothing to show on their APPs And GAMES tab.

Their LIKES won't be showing at all  because they have them hidden from PUBLIC view.

If they have anything set to FRIENDS, you can't expect to see anything because you are not yet their friend.

The picture below is what you will see when you are checking out a friend request of someone who has everything set to ONLY ME or FRIENDS.

The person plays your games, they can see them from their view,
but you won't be able to see it because you aren't their friend yet.

Many Facebook group administrators for games won't waste a lot of time looking through long LIKES lists to see if they qualify to join their group.

They will either block them off the group or dismiss them, usually with a note to try again later when they clean up their LIKES.

A good rule of thumb is to keep your Public LIKES under 100 items and set them to PUBLIC view.

Anything that is meant just for you, certain friends, or things that only you care about, you should set to ONLY ME or FRIENDS.

You aren't un-LIKING anything, you are only changing the privacy so that when a prospective friend is looking at your LIKES list, they only see the ones that matter for them to accept a friend request.

You can poll some of your closest friends, but they will tell you the same thing that we are telling you and that is:

People who are already your friends don't generally care what's on your LIKES list after they are friends nor do they go looking.

All they care about is that you play their games and that they can see that as easily as possible without wasting a lot of time looking through LIKES lists.

We often hear the question "But they've been playing Caesars & Slotomania for years" Or "they are on the leaderboard"  Or "they are a well known player."

Leaderboard for Caesars as of 8/4/2018

Even if the person is a well-known Caesars and/or Slotomania player, you can't expect New players to know them. All they know is to look for a LIKE for the game and if they don't see it, they will likely turn down the friend request.

The only other ways to tell players you play their games are:

1)  to create an INTRO or BIO with the games mentioned

2)  to list the games as your occupation

3)  to list the games as your education

4)  to show a PUBLIC post on your timeline for the game

5)  to make a status post at PUBLIC view that says what you play

6)  to use a profile picture that is game oriented

As you can see, this player uses a game profile picture
and so far, has had no problem making 4,447 friends

As long as you don't have porn or scam LIKES for fake Caesars and/or Slotomania Pages (they are the ones that have no blue checkmark next to their Page name), we can almost guarantee you that your friend requests will be accepted because they can see proof that you play the game.
